Laura Holthus has over 21 years of wide-ranging aviation industry experience, including airport planning, project and program management, airport management, strategic planning for capital program implementation, and coordination with airport operators and stakeholders. She has worked in aviation consulting both internationally and domestically for commercial-use airports and military airfields. She joined Ricondo in 2017 to open the Bellevue, Washington, office. Since joining the firm, she has led strategic planning efforts with the Port of Seattle for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Laura is particularly adept at identifying and solving complex airport planning challenges with her clients. She has assisted airport planning and capital development teams with strategic visioning and gap analyses, which has led to broad-ranging projects, from detailed terminal facility plans and ground transportation initiatives and strategies to airside implementation planning for major capital development projects. Additionally, she has served as project manager or technical lead on several planning assignments or on-call consulting services, such as for the following airports: Calgary International, Colorado Springs, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County, Tom Madsen (Dutch Harbor) Unalaska, Great Falls International, Snohomish County (Paine Field), Palm Beach International, and Vancouver International Airports. She has also provided these services for the Homestead Air Reserve Base and the Washington State Department of Transportation. Internationally, she has experience in the Middle East (Baghdad, Dubai, and Kabul International Airports), South Korea (Osan Air Base and US Army Garrison Humphreys), the Caribbean (Airport Name), and India (Hindan and Arjan Singh Air Force Stations, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport, and Kempegowda International Airport). Laura also holds a private pilot license, single-engine land with instrument rating, which she hopes to reactivate soon.
