Allison Ducar
Director
Allison started her aviation career at Ricondo in 2009 as an intern; she is now a director and has assisted in preparing several National Environmental Policy Act analyses and documentation, including categorical exclusions and environmental assessments for many large-hub airports across the country. Allison is currently serving as the project manager for the environmental impact statement at West Virginia International Yeager Airport in Charleston, West Virginia.
Throughout her tenure at Ricondo, Allison has been involved in many aspects of airport planning, including environmental reviews, environmental modeling, transportation planning, and airfield planning. In Allison’s first role, she used REDIM modeling to determine where new high-speed runway taxiways should be constructed at O’Hare International Airport as part of the O’Hare Modernization Program. Following a period of landside transportation planning, including using VISSIM for curbside modeling at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Allison then volunteered to relocate to Los Angeles to open a new Ricondo office and work on the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP). Upon completion of the LAMP, Allison moved to Ricondo’s Alexandria, Virginia, office and worked as embedded staff with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
Ricondo has provided Allison with the opportunity to work in many different departments and locations, which has helped her to understand the analytical pieces of airport operations and construction. She loves to see the projects she has worked on come to fruition, whether it is a completed construction project or a published environmental document. For her success, Allison credits the support and encouragement from Ricondo executives, talented associates, and airport staff, along with her ability to multi-task, manage, and delegate.
Allison is also passionate about her role as a mentor and is always encouraging her staff to continue learning and growing.
Ultimately, Allison values the support she has found at Ricondo to pursue a career and start a family. She has been able to manage her schedule to spend time with her husband and 2-year-old son, while successfully achieving her career goals.
